Refund Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Dillow’s Remodeling LLC, we believe in clear communication and fair business practices. This policy explains when refunds may apply and how cancellations are handled for residential remodeling projects.

1. Three-Day Right to Cancel

Under Ohio law, homeowners may have the right to cancel a home improvement contract within three (3) business days of signing the agreement.

If a cancellation is made within this period:

  • Cancellation must be submitted in writing.

  • Notice must be delivered before midnight of the third business day

Any payments made will be refunded according to Ohio consumer protection laws

Refunds will typically be processed within 10 business days after receiving written cancellation.

2. Deposits

Projects may require an initial deposit to secure scheduling and begin project planning.

Deposits may be used for:

  • Scheduling and project preparation

  • Administrative planning

  • Purchasing initial materials

Deposit amounts are outlined in the written contract provided for each project.

3. Special Order.

Certain materials ordered specifically for a project may be **non-refundable** once they are purchased or fabricated.

Examples include:

  • Custom cabinetry*

  • Custom glass or shower enclosures*

  • Special-order tile or fixtures*

  • Custom manufactured materials

  • If these materials have already been ordered or produced, their cost may not be refundable.

4. Cancellation After Work Begins.

If a project is cancelled after work has begun, refunds will be determined based on:

  • Work already completed*

  • Materials already purchased*

  • Labor and scheduling costs incurred

Customers are responsible for payment for all completed work; administrative costs and any materials already ordered for the project.

5. Change Orders.

Any changes to the scope of work must be documented through a written change order.

Approved change orders may affect:

  • Project timeline

  • Project cost

  • Material purchases

Once materials or labor have been committed to a change order, those costs may not be refundable.

6. Refund Processing.

When refunds are applicable, they will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds may be adjusted to account for:

  • Completed labor

  • Purchased materials

  • Contractually agreed project costs
